Seven marathons. Seven continents. One week.
On Nov. 21, 2025, KWCH meteorologist Jake Dunne crossed the finish line of the Great World Race, achieving the feat of running full marathons on all seven continents, over the course of seven successive days. His odyssey started in Cape Town, South Africa. From there, he traveled around the world, running marathons in Antarctica; Perth, Australia; Abu Dhabi; Faro, Portugal; Cartagena, Colombia; and Miami, Florida.
Wednesday, March 11, at 5 p.m., join Jake at Newton Public Library to hear his story and learn about ICT SOS, the local nonprofit that benefited from his fundraising in connection with the race. Adults, teens, and families are invited to attend.
