Harvey County West Park

Harvey County's West Park is located 13 miles west and 4 miles north of Newton and is Harvey County's original park. It was developed in the 1930s in the Sand Hills of western Harvey County on the Little Arkansas River. The 310-acre park is heavily wooded and features a 16-acre fishing lake and access to the Little Arkansas River.

The park also offers camping, softball, hiking and horse trails, playground, swimming beach, shelters, a bait shop and canoes for rent. Admission to the park is free. Fees are required for boating, horseback riding, camping and canoe rentals. It is located at 15835 NW 24th St., Burrton. For more information, call 316-835-3189.
