Free Community Car Seat Check-up hosted by Newton Police Department

Starting November 18, staff from the Newton Police Department and Newton Fire/EMS alongside other local organization members will take part in a three-day Child Passenger Safety Technician training.

They’re hitting the books and soon the pavement to gain hands-on skills that help keep our community’s youngest passengers safe.

To put this new knowledge into action, we’re hosting a Free Car Seat Check Lane on Thursday, November 20, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the NPD Training Facility (East parking lot, 216 E. 6th St., Newton).

-No appointment needed
-For the best check, bring the vehicle and car seat you use most often (and your child, if possible)

This training strengthens our commitment to serving and protecting Newton families one seat at a time.
