Macro Bee Photography

Join photographer and art professor Scott Jost for a talk focusing on his macro (close-up) photos of bees!

About Scott:

Scott Jost grew up in North Newton, Kansas, went to Newton High School, and attended Bethel College, where his father taught choral music. He earned an M.F.A. in Art from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He is professor of art and art department chair, teaching photography and design, at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Scott’s work explores interrelationships of people and land. He is author of two books of photography and oral history, "Shenandoah Valley Apples" (Columbia College Chicago Press, 2014) and "Blacks Run: An American Stream" (Center for American Places, 1999), and contributing photographer to "The Great Valley Road of Virginia: Shenandoah Landscapes from Prehistory to the Present" (University of Virginia Press, 2010). His newest is book, "Confluence: Rivers and Streams in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed," which creates a portrait of the Chesapeake Bay’s entire 64,000 square mile watershed in panoramic photographs.
