Kansas Day at Kauffman Museum has been a community and regional favorite for years! This is one day and celebration you won't want to miss. Head over to Kauffman Museum on Saturday, January 31 from noon-4pm for lots of Kansas themed activities, free entrance to the museum, and good food. There are activities through the museum indoors and outdoors. Come learn about Kansas and celebrate our statehood. There will also be flavor of Kansas cookies for sale and a raffle featuring Crust & Crumb baked goods and Salted Creamery Ice Cream. There is something for everyone at Kansas Day!

There will be food in the Museum Parking Lot from 11am-4pm. The food vendors that are slated to attend are:

  • Burger Depot
  • Momento Specialty Coffee
  • Le-J's Bar-B-Q
  • La Fogata
  • Lations Unidos Pastries & Hot Chocolate

There will be entertainment and learning opportunities in the Kauffman Museum auditorium throughout the day. The current schedule of events are:

  • 1pm - Queen Jack Jericho
  • 2pm - Traci Brimhall, Poet Laureate of Kansas: Eat Your Words: A Poetry Cookbook
  • 3pm - Amy Bousman, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks: Ethics, Safety & Sustainability of Foraged Foods in Kansas
