Sand Creek Trail

This popular biking and walking path runs nearly 7 miles along Sand Creek through the heart of Newton to Bethel College in North Newton. Easy access to the path is available at Athletic Park, just west of downtown on Fifth Street, or from the Kauffman Museum in North Newton.

The trail is mostly paved, with more wooded, unpaved portions near Kauffman Museum. Water fountains — for people and dogs — are located along the trail as are benches and a boat dock at Fourth Street.
