NAMI-Mid Kansas is partnering with Safe Streets Wichita to host a Naloxone (Narcan) Distribution site on Thursday September 18, from 6-7 pm at First Mennonite Church, 429 E. 1st Street in Newton. This is part of the national Save a Life Day which is scheduled for September 25, 2025, but is being held locally a week early on the 18th. It is the country’s largest free Naloxone Day which also includes overdose prevention education, and connecting community members to local mental health resources and support.
NAMI Mid-Kansas is an affiliate of NAMI Kansas. NAMI Kansas is a state-wide organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness-a self-help, membership association of individuals living with mental illness, their family members and friends dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by mental illnesses.
