Merry Little Main Street

Next date: Saturday, November 07, 2026 | 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM

Each Saturday starting in November and leading up to Christmas Downtown Newton is going to be filled with holiday cheer. Come join Downtown as we celebrate our Merry Little Main Street.

• November 7 - Christmas Craft
  • Come complete a cozy Christmas craft. The Carriage Factory Art Gallery has put together an amazing Christmas scene that you will build as you wonder throughout Downtown. Sign-up is required at least 2 weeks in advance of the event so that we can ensure we have enough supplies.
• November 14 - Youth Makers Market
  • Come shop from the amazing community kids who are trying their hands at being an entrepreneur. We can't wait to see all of the wonderful things they make. This is a great opportunity to come support their interests and passions and find unique, home made gifts.
• November 21 - Window Wonderland
  • Come explore all of the decorated windows Downtown. Don't forget to vote for your favorite on the Choose Newton website.
• November 28 - Small Business Saturday
  • Small Business Saturday is a national day to encourage shopping local. Come Downtown to support our amazing businesses and get great, unique gifts for everyone on your list.
• December 5 - Five Places of Christmas
  • Five Places of Christmas has been a fun tradition for many years. Explore our local historical and cultural places throughout Newton as you get in the Christmas spirit. Locations participating are: Warkentin House, Harvey County Historical Museum, Carriage Factory Art Gallery, Kauffman Museum, and Bethel College.
• December 12 - Picture Yourself Downtown
  • Downtown businesses will be inviting holiday characters in to take pictures with you. Some will also have holiday backdrops for you to take pictures at. Come get some great holiday photos. You never know who might show up.
• December 19 - Wrap Up your Shopping
  • It's the last Saturday before Christmas. Head to Downtown Newton to "Wrap Up" Your Christmas Shopping. There will be a gift wrap station at Prairy for any items that were purchased in Downtown Newton. Many of the businesses will also have some last minutes stocking stuffer ideas for you to choose from.
