Join us at Newton Public Library to try your hand at Dutch Blitz, a "Vonderful Goot," family-friendly card game that is especially popular in Mennonite communities.
For those new to the game or who would like a refresher, library board member and Dutch Blitz enthusiast Stacey Musser will explain the rules and lead a practice round starting at 1:30 p.m. Then, around 2 p.m., we will regroup and start playing!
Around 3:30, prizes will be awarded to the player with the most cumulative points; to the player with the highest single-round score; and to other winners in fun categories, TBA.
(After that, the event will be over, but participants will be welcome to stick around and keep playing to their heart's content, or until the library closes, whichever comes first)
