Warkentin House
The Warkentin House Museum allows you to step into Victorian era Newton in one of our founding and prominent community members homes. The home has been preserved in the era featuring decor, furniture, clothing, and much more from that era. Come learn about how Bernhard & Wihelmina Warkentin helped to bring Turkey Red Wheat to Kansas, make Kansas the Breadbasket of the nation, and help build the community of Newton.
Hours of Operation
- January - March: tours by appointment only
- April - May: 1-4:30pm Saturdays and Sundays
- June - August: 1:4:30pm Fridays-Sundays
- September - December: 1-4:30pm Saturdays and Sundays
